Sale From Master Affiliate Profits Rotator

Posted by

I’ve been in many rotators before, but the MAP (Master Affiliate Profits) Rotator is the first one that’s made a sale for me!

I’d left the adverts I’d set up to ‘do their work’ but – because it was low quality ‘cold’ traffic – all I expected to gather was optins to my wait list. So it was a complete surprise when I spotted an email saying I’d made a MAP Backer sale! I checked my back-office and was even more surprised and delighted to find that it was a sale from the MAP Rotator traffic.

To remind you, that’s traffic from John Thornhill and Omar Martin’s own traffic sources (for instance, banners on their own blogs). Because they don’t want to compete with their own members, all their own traffic is shared out among Platinum members in a rotator. MAP will earn just the remainder after the commission is paid out to members.

It’s in their interests for members to be successful (i.e. make money) because if the members aren’t making money, they’ll soon drift off to some shiny object. Nothing like seeing a commission come in to encourage you to redouble your efforts.

So here’s my rotator commission 🙂

Warm and Cold Traffic and the MAP Backer Program

I mentioned above that this was cold traffic – by which I mean I found it in traffic exchanges or list mailers. I advertise in these sources because it’s where newbies usually start out, looking for instant wealth, lured by clickbait headlines. It’s where I started out myself, until I learned the truth that “The only place Success comes before Work is in the dictionary”.

My theory is, that many people start out in these places, but then they will either drop off the face of the biz-opp circuit bruised and battered, or they will end up on someone’s email list and hopefully it will be one of the ethical marketers ‘out there’ – like myself.

Some very successful marketers say to completely avoid traffic exchanges and list mailers as they’re a waste of time and money. But if you can pick up a newbie and steer them onto YOUR email list and away from the scammers, it’s a public service – and, of course, a possible source of ethical income for you.

I have seen people who joined my email list over a year ago, before they finally came back and paid $7 for an excellent program I promoted where I learned so many skills. Once they start following an ethical program they can go onto bigger and better things.

I use traffic exchanges and list mailers because they are a cheap source of leads from newcomers to the online world. Many big marketers actually use them to gather leads too. I see their adverts. For instance Jeff, the guy at the top of many leader boards is there, collecting leads. I figured that if he thinks it’s worth his while, it’s worth me following suit. When a new business that interests him starts up, he emails his huge email list and makes a ton of commissions. He’s worked hard and generously shares his teaching so that those on his email list can pass it to their own subscribers.

Apart from (I expect) a few chosen contacts, Jeff doesn’t sit on Facebook messaging thousands of people. He’s only recently taken much interest in Facebook and social media (and perhaps he employs Virtual Assistants to do his social media.) His email list is his own traffic source and that’s the model I want to follow, rather than social media – which in my experience is also poor quality traffic. I appear to be very bad at targeting decent leads and all I end up with are people trying to get me to join their program when all I want is for them to join mine. Too much cat and mouse for me!

Admittedly some people are having great success with social media – one guy earned 5-figures in one week. But it’s just not my style. I have more to do with my time. However, obviously you CAN still use organic methods to make MAP sales, so if that’s what you enjoy doing – there’s every chance you’ll be extremely successful.

MAP will turn our cold traffic into warm traffic in Phase 3, but for the rest of Phase 2, I’m opting people into my own email list and ‘warming them up’, with more and more reasons to join MAP – hopefully ready to join as soon as Phase 3 starts. (At which stage it will open to monthly paying members, rather than the saving of the lifetime membership in Phase 2.)

Jeff’s email list started with zero subscribers at one time, so don’t be discouraged if you have no leads yourself. If you opt-in here to learn about MAP, I also share some of Jeff’s methods – just in case you decide to use traffic exchanges and list mailers as a source of traffic.

Note – a list mailer is NOT an auto-responder. It’s where you borrow someone else’s traffic and send emails to them. The list belongs to the list owner – you are just permitted to borrow the traffic to try and encourage them to join your own email list on your own auto-responder.

It will all become clearer inside the MAP Traffic training. But….

Should I Use Traffic Exchanges / List Mailers?

Only if:

  • You send to an optin page – NEVER to a sales page. I’ve seen people advertising local cake shops (no optin). Total madness.
  • You are prepared to send vast numbers of people to your page. I send thousands of emails per day.
  • You are NOT willing to use other traffic methods – see the MAP Traffic training in the back-office.

That was a bit of a diversion, but just to hammer home that in ANY business you need to find your own leads too. While the sale from the MAP rotator was fantastic, it’s a bonus to me as a Platinum member, not a guarantee.

The main point of today’s stage in my MAP journey is that, while I was working in the background – on my offline business, and on creating optin pages for my MAP wait-list – the MAP Rotator made me a sale. That benefit is only available for Platinum members.
