Turning Golden Years into Golden Opportunities: Affiliate Marketing for Seniors

Concerned your years of experience and wisdom can’t translate into the digital world? Think again. Affiliate marketing is not just a young person’s game. It’s a field full of opportunities for those in their golden years, when you may be looking for a new income stream to fund a secure retirement – and a way to keep those brain cells active. Part-time or full-time. You can choose.

Affiliate Marketing for the 60+ Crowd

Let’s cut through the jargon. Affiliate marketing is simply promoting products or services and earning a commission for every sale made through your referral. It’s like being a salesperson, but online and without the pressure of face-to-face interactions. And the best part? You can do it from the comfort of your home.

As a senior, you have a lifetime of knowledge and experiences that younger folks can’t match. That’s your edge.

Here is my chosen program (MAP – aka Master Affiliate Profits) and below I explain the path that led to me choosing it, and can lead you to decide your chosen path.

Identifying Your Niche: The First Step to Affiliate Success

Assessing Your Interests and Expertise

The first step is to pick a niche that you’re passionate about. It could be anything from knitting to nutrition. The key is to choose something you enjoy talking about and learning more about because this will maintain your interest in your affiliate marketing efforts.

For myself, I wanted to pass on to newcomers online, the skills and knowledge I picked up as I launched my own online busiess. So I chose the in-demand ‘affiliate marketing training’ niche.

Analyzing Competition and Market Demand

I’ll be honest, affiliate marketing training is a crowded niche – but that means there’s a demand. In these days of high cost-of-living, many people, of many ages, want to learn how to make an extra income online. So with a program that successfully and ethically teaches this skill, you have an eager audience.

I emphasise ‘ethically’ because there are many tricksters who will say ‘It is easy’. Let me say up front, it is NOT as easy as some folk will tell you, or everyone would be rich. Happily I found an ethical and successful marketer who taught thousands of newcomers to online marketing how to make commissions by promoting affiliate marketing training.

When that program became so successful that I found it hard to find new customers for it, I looked for another one. And because of the skills I learned in program A, it was easier to identify and promote the program I moved over to: Master Affiliate Profits (MAP) – affiliate link.

I already knew the excellent reputation of the creators of MAP, and when they said what they were going to deliver, I had 100% confidence that they would do so. Their reputation for delivery and support is unquestioned in the industry.

The commissions structure is generous and easy to understand. Even free members can make a commission on sales they make. So you can, if you need to, start out free of charge. (But note that your path to success will be faster if you have a small budget.)

What Skills Does a Senior Affiliate Marketer Need?

There are many skills involved in building an online business, and the beauty of MAP is that you don’t need to know them all. Just pick what suits your circumstances. You can confidently sell the training to others, knowing that they will be taught what to do from the MAP founders. But here’s a taster in this 2 minute video (supplied for me by the company).

Until I found MAP, the image above was ‘me’ trying to juggle my offline business with starting an online affiliate marketing business. It needn’t be as hard as that – if you choose and follow the strategy.

Unfortunately, because so many people have been brain-washed into the myth of push-button wealth, they point blank refuse to follow the real path to success, which is “Build an email list of interested prospects, and convert them to paying customers”.

Don’t stop reading!

Accepting that 99% of aspiring marketers refuse to do this – or do it badly – MAP will send a ‘done-for-you’ sequence of 90 emails to any prospects, aiming to make sales to them – for YOUR benefit.

Smart MAP affiliates will also be building their own email lists, as taught in the training.

Mastering the Long Game: Sustaining Your Business

Building an online business for your retirement takes time, but will be an enjoyable and profitable side-line IF you follow the strategies laid out for you, and have patience and persistence.

To keep your affiliate marketing business thriving, you must be willing to adapt and evolve. The online world changes rapidly, and strategies that work today may not work tomorrow. Stay educated, be flexible, and always look for new opportunities to grow.

Keep an eye on market trends and be ready to pivot when necessary.

At one time I was earning well from a popular program selling excellent affiliate marketing training. Sadly I was unable to find enough new customers and it was taking too much out of my day. I was close to quitting, then I spotted a new program and decided to jump on board that. Using what I already knew I quickly started earning commissions in the new program. In fact I earned almost $1700 in my first month.

(Note that I’d even have made over $560 commission if I were a free member – that’s for Phase 3, coming soon).

Exploring Passive Income Streams

Passive income is the holy grail of financial freedom. This is built into the MAP strategy, as you will earn commission from members you introduce to MAP and other trusted 3rd-party service provider, introduced through the training. These income streams can continue even if you take your foot off the pedal for a well-earned break.

In fact I am still earning passive income from Program A, that I promoted before MAP, and from many of the systems I’ve picked up along my online journey.

Planning for Continuous Learning and Skill Development

The learning never stops in affiliate marketing, but the experts in MAP will keep you and your customers up-to-date with the latest strategies and techniques.
